Hi! I'm Hannah, the girl behind the quilts that make up Honey Fibers!

I grew up surrounded by quilts made by my great- and great-great grandmothers. My great-grandma taught my sister and I how to sew and quilt when we were kids, and I eventually started my own quilting practice during the summer of 2020.

Honey Fibers started as a creative practice with a focus on heirloom quality quilts made with traditional methods of hand quilting, and constructed with high quality natural fibers, usually hand dyed with plant derived color. Over the years it has evolved to include more types of fiber arts, such as knitting, needle felting, and embroidery, while still focusing on all natural, sustainable fibers.

I love creating functional art that can be both admired and physically loved and used. My favorite part about hand stitching quilts is the beautiful texture that the stitches create, especially when using linen fabric. It is a classic look and feel that can’t be replicated with a quilting machine, and also takes a lot more time and attention. I pour all of my love into every piece I make, and I hope you love them just as much as I do!
